Right Way to Write ("the app") is a guided writing coach for iPhone and Android, operated by Shawn Teters ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. We keep it simple: your book is yours.

Your writing stays on your device

Your book project, your answers to the setup questions, your chapters, and your drafts are saved on your phone. We do not run accounts, and we do not keep a copy of your manuscript on our servers.

When you use AI help

When you tap an AI action (for example "Help me with AI", "Build my book", "Keep going", "Make clearer", or "Ideas"), the app sends only the text needed for that one request, such as your setup answers or the current chapter draft, to our server. Our server passes it to Anthropic's Claude AI service to create the response and sends the answer back to the app. We do not store these requests, use them to build a profile of you, or sell them. Anthropic processes the request under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your payment card. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated ID and your purchase status, not your name or email.

What we do not do

We do not show ads, track you across other apps or websites, sell your data, or collect your contacts, location, or photos.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

Because your writing lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your book data. Please export or copy your manuscript first if you want to keep it. For any privacy question or request, email shawn.t@innovativedigitalpro.com.
